Our Mini Mysteries are the quick, quilty thrill rides of the Mystery Five-0 program — fast-paced, story-driven quilting events designed to be completed in a single day. Minis are perfect for quilters who love the excitement of a mystery quilt but prefer a smaller, more manageable project they can finish in a weekend (or even a single afternoon!).

Each Mini Mystery includes a short storyline, rapid-fire clues, and a lively, supportive Facebook group where quilters come together to sew, laugh, and share their progress in real time.

Whether you joined us live or are discovering these minis after the event, this page gathers every Mini Mystery we’ve hosted — complete with stories, fabric inspiration, and links to remaining kits (when available). Mini Mysteries are intentionally easy to pick up later and enjoy at your own pace.

How to Participate in a Mini Mystery

Joining a Mini Mystery couldn’t be simpler — or more fun!

Mini Mysteries are completely free, with no purchase required. Just show up ready to sew and enjoy the adventure!

All clues, videos, and story segments are released on the same day inside our private Facebook community.You can sew along live with the group or complete it later — everything stays accessible for replay.

✔ Stash-Friendly by Design

Most Mini Mysteries call for small amounts of fabric, fat quarters, or simple color groupings. That means:

No special supplies required
No last-minute shopping trips
Use what you already have in your stash

It’s the perfect “drop everything and sew” project.

✔ Custom Mini Mystery Kits (Optional)

For quilters who prefer a curated bundle, West Valley Quilting offers optional kits for each Mini Mystery (when available). These kits are designed to coordinate with the storyline and ensure you have everything you need — but they’re never required to participate.
